Entry 1

I am in semester 4 right now.Before entered this semester I've heard many comments and something like grievances from my seniors about Critical Literacy subject.For instance ,some of them have said that this subject was a little bit troubled to them because they have to be a critical thinker.Then ,I was wondering that how to be a critical thinker.Then ,they said that in any way I still have to face this kind of experience.That is really make me a little bit nervous and I always thinking that how far I can handle this assessment. Inspite of all this terrified things ,

I'm still trying to think in a positive way and I wish it could be.

Entry 2

A child is a precious thing from God that must be take care of bu his/her parent.If not ,who else that are responsible to take care of the child ? Of course his/her parent that carried them for 9 month and take care of them since baby.But ,nowadays there have parent that are willing to sell their ‘responsible’to other people.It may cause many reasons for it.Based on the article on (NST,March 3,2013) ,I really want to stated that I was disagree with this article.It is because parent should sacrifice everything to their kids untill them grows up.For instance ,their needs like food and drinks ,clothes ,good education and also a better surrounding for them to feel comfortable and greatful with their life.Those are under parent’s responsible in order to take care of their children instead of sell their kids to the black market.Eventhough ,they are comes from poor family it is not the way to get the money because money can’t buy happiness.Besides that ,if parent sell one of their kids or family members the family organization will be uncomplete.It is because ,if they were being together the family will be much more happier.They can share everything together happily.They can share everything together happily and be thankful with what they had.

Entry 3

Based on my understanding about stereotyping ,it can be said like a proverb that is usually known ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’.It’s mean like there will have a differents way of thinking based on what they had on hand.From what I had researched ,Allport (1958) originally observed that people are more likely to stereotype individuals and groups with whom they have little contact.For instance ,you might have whole set of beliefs about Middle-Eastern Muslim whom cover their bodies and faces and walk behind their husbands.You may not realize that one of your neighbors is actually Muslim but does not follow some of the strict traditions of her religion.Sometime it occurs because people have had a negative or positive experience with a person from different culture.Clearly ,people are willing to stereotype with very little evidence.

Entry 4

Hollywood produces great movies ,but they don’t always tell the truth even it is based on ‘true story’.Eventhough , they had stated that is a true story but it still have ‘plus or less’ in that movie.The first thing is because sometimes movie producer are not willing to pay more for people who had actually experience the story itself.But ,they still want to produce the true story instead of to pay more.So ,they still have a low quality of a true story itself because maybe they just pay half from the price.Besides ,it is also because sometimes they add extra storyline to make the story more interesting.They just don’t tell the truth story.

Entry 5

Based on what I have read on newspaper excerpt dated on 3 March 2013 taken from New Strait Times ,I have found that the article is telling about ‘Prisoners to get varsity – level course’.I think his is a good idea because even they are prisoners ,they actually still have to learn something.It is because to enhance the skills and educational level of prisoner with the aim to increase their competency after serving their sentence.Besides ,it can give us the positive impact on both the prisoner and the country because we have succeeded in reducing the level of repeats for those are returning after being release from jail.In addition ,prisoner also gives benefits to our country because they had earned RM 17 million from the sale of handcraft made by them.So that ,they can’t deny what the other people think about the prisoner that they are useless.
